The 2010 "Mane Event" fundraiser for Bay Area Homeless Services will honor the late Mack Cook, founder of the agency, and will roast and toast community leader Gilbert Santana.

The event will be Saturday, Feb. 20, at 6 p.m. at Goose Creek Country Club. Serving as master of ceremonies will be Anthony Crespo.

In addition to the roast and toast, the "Mane Event" will feature dinner, and live and silent auctions. Organizers hope to raise at least $30,000.

Auction items include two round-trip tickets to anywhere in the continental United States on Air Tran, an Aggies package including a signed Benjamin Knox print, and a children's package including tickets to the Children's Museum.
