Harris County households who still have housing damage/repair issues as a result of Hurricane Ike may apply to the county for assistance.

A case worker is available Wednesdays from 1-5 p.m. at the Baytown Community Center, 2407 Market Street, to answer questions and to help with the application process. The program is headquartered at 16602 Diana Lane in Houston (Clear Lake area).

This program is no longer restricted to low-income households. Further, if someone had ANY hurricane damage, whether repaired or not, their home may be eligible. As of the beginning of March, roughly 70 households from Baytown have applied and are going through the process.
