Families with children under age 18 may be eligible for a free 50-pound box of food, in connection with a Food Fair to be conducted by Bay Area Homeless Services and Houston Food Bank.

Food boxes will be distributed Saturday, Aug. 21, beginning at 1 p.m., and again on Saturday, Sept. 18, beginning at 8 a.m., at the Bay Area Homeless Services shelter facility, 3406 Wisconsin in Baytown.

In order to participate, families must register in advance and must meet income qualifications. Registration forms are available from Bay Area Homeless Services (281-420-6728), Baytown Resource & Assistance Center (281-424-5752) and Love INC (281-422-5683).  The person whose name is on the application must be the person who picks up the food on Aug. 21 and Sept. 18.
